NEPSE Index Edges Up By 11.93 points ; Turnover Hits Rs. 5.49 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit gain today, gaining 11.93 points (0.45%) to close at 2,624.36. This follows a 21.19 -point loss in the previous trading session.

 

The benchmark index opened at 2,616.12 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,637.58 and a low of 2,615.69 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 5.49 Arba, with 13,610,496 shares traded across 339 companies through 51,728 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.17 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.28 Kharba.

 

Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 33.62 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 447.00.

 

Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (DLBS) led the gainer's list with a 12.43% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 1,248.00.

 

Meanwhile, Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 2.97%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 588.00.

 

Among sectors, the Life Insurance recorded the highest gain, gaining by 1.08%, while Investment Index recorded the highest loss, down 0.18%.
