NEPSE Index Edges Up 0.21% in Today's Session With Notable Stock Movements

In today's Nepal Stock Exchange trading session, the NEPSE Index ended at 1,969.18 points, showing a slight increase of 4.26 points or 0.21% compared to the previous day's closing. On Sunday, the index experienced a significant loss of 42.14 points.

The day started with the index opening at 1,965.45 and hitting a low of 1,952.88 points during the trading session. However, it reached a high of 1,974.98 points before ultimately closing at 1,969.18.

During today's trading, there were 271 different stocks traded in 42,024 transactions, with a substantial volume of shares totaling 2,874,275 and a turnover of Rs. 87.04 Crores. The market's total capitalization was Rs. 29.67 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.45 Kharba.

Reliable Nepal Life Insurance Limited (RNLI) had the highest turnover at Rs. 9.38 crores and closed at a market price of Rs. 489.

Similarly, Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) showed the highest gain of 9.99%, followed by Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) with a gain of 9.98%.

On the other hand, Shuvam Power Limited (SPL) saw the highest loss of 9.99% today.

Among the sub-indices, only the Banking Index ended in the red, with the "Trading Index" showing the largest gain at 1.60%, while the "Investment" sub-index had the smallest gain at 0.13%.
