NEPSE Index Drops by 26.22 Points to, Settle at 2796.24 ; Only Hotels And Tourism Sector Closes Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 26.22 points (0.92%) to settle at 2,796.24. This follows a 27.90 -point loss the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2824.01, touching an intraday high of 2,828.57, while the lowest point was 2,796.24. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 6.91 Arba, with 17,671,675 shares traded across 323 companies through 78,226 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.69 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.82 Kharba.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs.26.77 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,535.00
City Hotel Limited (CITY) led the gainer's list with a 9.99% gain each.
Meanwhile, Sikles Hydropower Limited (SIKLES) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.99%.
Among sectors, the Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.32%, while the Finance Index saw the highest loss at 1.53%.
