Nepse index down by 2.54 points to settle at 1178.74 level; Minor fluctuation shows business as usual

On the last trading day of the week the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went down by 2.54 points or 0.22% to close at 1178.74 level. Opening at the 1181.79 level this afternoon, the local bourse came down to 1173.63 level during the last trading hour of the day. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 44.19 crore where more than 6 lakhs unit shares were traded through 2,180 transactions. Banking, Hotels, Development Banks, Hydropower and Insurance sector landed in red whereas finance, manufacturing & production and others sector landed in green. Sensitive index and the float index went down by 0.33 points and 0.12 points respectively.
