NEPSE Index Dips By 15.64 points To Close at 2,726.33 Levels; Intraday Turnover Stood at Rs 4.72 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 15.64 points (0.57%) to settle at 2,726.33. This follows a 19.89 -point loss the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,744.41 touching an intraday high of 2,749.88, while the lowest point was 2,724.99. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 4.72 Arba, with 11,345,994 shares traded across 326 companies through 68,594 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.57 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.45 Kharba.

Union Hydropower Limited (UNHPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 33.8 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 432.00

Him Star Urja Company Limited (HIMSTAR) led the gainer's list with a 9.99% gain each.

Meanwhile, Liberty Energy Company Limited (LEC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 6.99%.

Among sectors, the Mutual Fund registered the highest gain, gaining 0.22%, while the Hydropower Index and Hotels And Tourism Index saw the highest loss at 0.93%.
