NEPSE Index Dips by 0.79 Points to Close at 2,560.29 ; SAHAS Leads Turnover While Overall Volume Stood at 4.68 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 0.79 points (0.03% ) to settle at 2,560.29. This follows a 4.98 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2559.89., touching an intraday high of 2,563.92, while the lowest point was 2,549.82. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 4.68 Arba, with 10,449,296 shares traded across 328 companies through 66,079 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 42.98 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.51 Kharba.

Sahas Urja Limited (SAHAS) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 41.8 crores. The stock closed at Rs.672.00.

Four scrips hit the upper circuit, gaining a maximum of 10% each.

Meanwhile, Bungal Hydro Limited (BUNGAL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.05%.

Among sectors, Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.08%, while the Investment Index saw the highest loss at 0.51%.
