NEPSE Index Decline by 3.07 Points, Intraday Turnover Stood at 16.35 Arba; Five Companies hit Upper Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 3.07 points (0.11%) to settle at 2,769.09. This follows a 57.55 point gain the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,776.78, touching an intraday high of 2,772.22, while the lowest point was 2,715.78. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 16.35 Arba, with 36,264,873 shares traded across 332 companies through 147,676 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.49 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.84 Kharba.

Himalayan Power Partner Ltd. (HPPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 65.93 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 505.00.

Five Companies Hit Upper Circuit By gaining a maximum of 10% each.

Meanwhile, National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 3.12%.

Among sectors, the Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.67%, while the Investment Index saw the highest loss at 0.55%.
