NEPSE Index Couldn't Sustain Yesterday's Gain; Plummets 0.72% Today While Volume Stood at Rs. 4.43 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 19.89 points (0.72%) to settle at 2,741.97. This follows a 12.03 -point gain the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2777.52 touching an intraday high of 2,791.67, while the lowest point was 2,741.46. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 4.43 Arba, with 10,535,874 shares traded across 323 companies through 89,775 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.83 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.54 Kharba.

 


Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 22.7 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,675.00

 


Him Star Urja Company Limited (HIMSTAR) led the gainer's list with a 9.98% gain each.

 

Meanwhile, Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) recorded the steepest drop, falling 7.47%.

 

Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest loss, losing 1.97%, while the Mutual Fund saw the least loss at 0.28%.
