NEPSE Index Couldn't Sustain Yesterday's Gain; Plummets 0.34% Today While Volume Stood at Rs. 8.42 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 9.43 points (0.34%) to settle at 2,705.38. This follows a 42.26 point gain the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,717.43, touching an intraday high of 2,728.05, while the lowest point was 2,695.10. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 8.92 Arba, with 21,641,883 shares traded across 324 companies through 89,766 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.42 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.48 Kharba.


Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 43.36 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 232.10.


Kalika power Company Ltd (KPCL) led the gainer's list with 9.84% each.


Meanwhile, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 5.89%.


Among sectors, the Others Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.26%, while the Hotels And Tourism Index saw the highest loss at 1.88%.
