The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 5.54 points (0.20%) to settle at 2,635.00. This follows a 4.59 point gain the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,643.19, touching an intraday high of 2,651.76, while the lowest point was 2,628.98. Total turnover for the day reached Rs.6.47 Arba, with 12,309,744 shares traded across 333 companies through 78,808 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.24 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.04 Kharba.
SY Panel Nepal Limited (SYPNL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 42.24 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,383.80.
SY Panel Nepal Limited (SYPNL) and Shreenagar Agritech Industries Limited (SAIL) led the gainer's list with 10.00% each.
Meanwhile, Super Madi Hydropower Limited (SMHL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.25%.
Among sectors, the Manufacturing And Processing Finance Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.02%, while the Trading Index saw the highest loss at 1.16%.
