NEPSE Index Closes With a Loss of 10.24 Points to Settle at 2,698.44 Level; SMHL Leads the Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 10.24 points (0.37%) to settle at 2,698.44. This follows a 10.25 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2712.34, touching an intraday high of 2,728.43, while the lowest point was 2,695.20. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 11.65 Arba, with 26,236,204 shares traded across 330 companies through 111,978 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.30 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.42 Kharba.


Super Madi Hydropower Limited (SMHL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 56.03 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 486.00.


Super Mai Hydropower Limited (SMH) led the gainers list with 10.00% each.

Meanwhile, Kalinchowk Darshan Limited (KDL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.91%.


Among sectors, the Others Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.46%, while the Hotels And Tourism Index saw the highest loss at 2.13%.
