NEPSE Index Climbs 12.03 Points to Close at 2761.86; Banking Sector Sees Highest Gain Among All Indices

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining 12.03 points (0.43 %) to settle at 2,761.86. This follows a 31.17 -point loss in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2768.4 touching an intraday high of 2,773.69, while the lowest point was 2,741.39. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 5.1 Arba, with 11,440,844 shares traded across 326 companies through 68,775 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.17 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.65 Kharba.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 28.08 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,678.00
Him Star Urja Company Limited (HIMSTAR) led the gainer's list with a 6.07% gain each.
Meanwhile, Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) recorded the steepest drop, falling 7.68%.
Among sectors, the Banking SubIndex registered the highest gain, gaining 1.50%, while the Trading Index saw the highest loss at 0.85%.
