NEPSE index breaks the highest record of the last three years; Index gains a massive 41.20 points in the first day after Dashain

NEPSE gained a massive 41.20 points today and closed at 1,647.45. Thus, the index has broken the close of August 13, 2017, at 1,647.45. The index had only closed lower than that until today. Thus, this is the new high created in the last three years, two and a half months.
9,322,085 shares exchanged hands via 42,618 transactions. Trading of 188 scrips brought the daily turnover to a little over Rs. 2.72 Arba.
The float index gained 3.27 points and closed at 115.37 while the Sensitive index is at 327.76 after gaining 9.21 points.
Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) had the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 20.65 crores. Its shares also traded the most today.
Prime Commercial Bank Limited (PCBL) and Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) technically hit a 10% positive circuit today.
Meanwhile, Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited (PMHPL) lost the most 3.47%.
Only Trading lost a minimal 0.8% today while all other sectors closed green. Banking gained an impressive 4.27% and Development Banks gained 2.91%.
