Nepse increase by meager 0.22 points

Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) which opened at 402.93 level today moved meager to gain 0.22 points to close at 403.15 level despite increase in turnover amount. The benchmark index after a slight decline in the initial hour later gained upward momentum to move in sideways between the range of 403.50 to 403 level. The local bourse has been moving between the range of 400 to 403 level since past five consecutive trading days.
The Top Performer for the day was Prabhu Finance Company Limited (PRFL), settled at Rs 157, with Rs 13 or 6.8% up. Whereas, International Leasing and Finance Company (ILFC) settled at Rs 156, with Rs 17 or 9.83% down was the Top Loser.
KIST Bank Limited (KIST), closed at Rs 115, topped the categories of highest share traded with 16,520 units. All in all, with 15,310 shares worth Rs 15,703,900 via 153 transactions, Chilime Hydro Power Co. Ltd. (CHCL), closed at Rs 1,040, had the highest turnover and transaction; in which Broker No 44 (Dynamic Money Managers Securities Pvt. Ltd) was the most active broker with 44.48% stand alone dealing of CHCL, amounting Rs 6,985,458 of 6,812 units via 21 transactions.
Sectoral wise, Banking, Hydro , Insurance and Manufacturing added 0.18% , 0.83%, 0.12 % and 1.01% to. On the other hand, Hotel, Development, Finance and Others sectors moved down by 1.09%, 0.13%, 0.32% and 0.38% respectively than preceding day. Sensitive index rose by 0.05 or 0.05% points to rest at 104.23 level while Float index also added 0.057 or 0.18% point to close at 31.28 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 86with 35 gainers and 39 losers with total turnover of Rs 60,604,191 which is comparatively Rs 10,881,397 or 21.88% higher than prior trading session. Overall 178,183 units of shares were traded via 1453 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 380,949.33 Millions.
