NEPSE INCLINES BY EIGHT POINTS

The only secondary market of Nepal today came to witness a surge of eight points to close at 782.76 level.
Following the late surge of yesterday, where the market came to limit its loss to half point, more traders rush in market to grab the scrips at prevailing lower price, creating a bullish transition in process.
The market which has came to experience downfall, following the offload of dividend distributed companies and nearing quarter end, has shown some sign of improvement in last four trading days as the benchmark index has witnessed hefty gain in three trading days while meagre loss in one.
Further, the turnover in today’s session was also positive sign as it crossed Rs 300 million mark. Last time, the turnover came to cross this threshold was in 10th march. The overall turnover today stood at Rs 303,022,551 with total number of shares traded at 847,034 units which were traded through 1,990 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 797,771.97 Millions.
Most of the investors today were found grabbing the hydro, insurance and banking and financial institutions scrips. Insurance and Hydro sub-indices made a huge growth of 39.12 points and 27.92 points respectively.
Similarly, Banking, Development and Finance followed with 6.83 points, 5.18 points and 8.86 points surge respectively.
Likewise, Hotels increment by 6.99 points along with it, Others increased by 4.7 points and Manufacturing inclined by 0.23 point.
Altogether there were trade of 127 scrips, among which 86 scrips gained, 11 scrips remained intact and 30 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded scrips was Hamro Bikas Bank Ltd. (HAMRO), closed Rs 225, with a gain of Rs 20 or 9.76 percent. Whereas, Lumbini General Insurance (LGIL), closed at Rs 348, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 22 or 5.95 percent.
The company with the highest turnover in today’s session was Taragaon Regency Hotel (TRH), closed at Rs 206, with turnover of Rs 87,930,760, totaling 462,790 units which were traded through 16 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of TRH was Broker No 32 (Premier Securities Company Limited) with 91.70 percent standalone dealing, totaling 424,415 units worth Rs 161,278,400 via 24 transactions, which includes eight matching transactions tallying 386,040 units worth Rs 73,347,640.
