Sharesansar, 26th March:

Making its way from the red pasture, the market index bounced back to green terrain with meager gain of 0.53 point. The benchmark index today closed at 781.02 level.

The market today also observed high share offloading in the initial period which plunged the market in the initial phase. Later, however, with the emergence of buyers the local bourse recovered its way up.

Though near to the end Nepse again witnessed steep decline towards red zone, following high liquidation of banking scrips, the incline in Others sector scrip recouped the market in green zone.

Banking and Finance, two of the banking and financial institutions sub-indices among three, were the only losers in today’s trade as both suffered loss of 0.3 point and 3.51 points respectively whereas Development increased by 0.7 point.

Similarly, Insurance and Hydro continued with their upbeat performance as both surged by 6.49 points and 3.24 points respectively.  In addition to the surge of hydro sector, one of the suspended scrip listed under it, National Hydro Power Co. (NHPC), resumed its trading from today.

After Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) issued a stern warning to the crisis-ridden National Hydropower Company Limited for failing to renew RTS agreement, which is divided in two factions, they apparently reached some understanding to appoint the RTS.
