NEPSE INCLINE BY 0.99 POINTS

Finally, after days of downfall, the market was able to make an uphill move today. Though the market hovered in red for most of its trading period, coming at the end of the day, the local bourse bounced back to make a gain of 0.99 points to close at 546.49 levels.

Insurance and Others were the only down fallers among the sub-indices with loss of 7.05 and 5.87 points respectively. Hotels had the highest gain of 4.54 points among sub-indices followed by Banking with 2.69 points incline and Development with a 1.92 point leap.

Similarly, Hydro too made a jump of 1.83 points alongside 0.85 point increase of Finance and 0.41 points growth of Trading.

All in all, the scrips of 106 companies were traded, out of which 51 scrips gained, 25 remained intact and 30 scrips lost.

The best performer for the day was, Muktinath Bikas Bank Ltd. (MNBBL), closed at Rs 365, with a gain of Rs 30 or 8.96%. Whereas, the worst performer was,  Premier Insurance Co. Ltd. (PIC), closed at Rs 196, with Rs 18 or 8.41% loss.

Likewise, Global IME Bank Limited Promoter Share  (GBIMEP), closed at Rs 128, had the highest turnover with 213,097 units of share trade via 6 transactions worth Rs 27,276,416.

While, Kumari Bank Ltd (KBL), closed at Rs 307, had the highest turnover among ordinary scrips. Altogether, 59,861 units of share were traded via 144 transactions worth Rs 18,194,222.

The broker with the highest standalone dealing of KBL was Broker No 56 (Sri Hari Securities Pvt. Ltd.) with 16.48%; amounting Rs 6,000,000 via 5 transactions totaling  19,960 units which includes 1 matching transaction tallying  9,230 units worth Rs 2,769,000.

Overall, 715,648 units of share were traded by 1,824 transactions with total turnover worth Rs 172,822,316; the market capitalization by the end of the day tallied to Rs 544,575.19 million.
