NEPSE Inches Up for Second Straight Session; NRN Leads Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a single-digit gain today, gaining by 0.55 points (0.02%) to close at 2,642.40. This follows a gain of 0.79 points in the previous trading session.

 

The benchmark index opened at 2641.27 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,648.57 and a low of 2,629.22 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.53 Arba, with 8,701,944 shares traded across 348 companies through 43,990 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.41 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.34 Kharba.


NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 31.60 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 1,430.00.

 

Mount Everest Power Development Limited (MEPDL) hit the upper circuit with a 15.00% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 345.00.

Meanwhile, 12% ICFC Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (ICFCD83) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 15.00%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 1,049.00.

 

Among sectors, the Investment Index recorded the highest gain, gaining by 2.21%, while the Manufacturing And Processing recorded the highest loss, down 0.71%.
