NEPSE Goes on Downward Spiral with 63.28 Points Loss; All Sectors Close Red

The NEPSE index lost a massive 63.28 points today and closed at 2,905.14. The index opened at 2,975.25 and immediately made the intraday high at 2,978.26. While it went as low as 2,881.01, it ultimately closed at 2,905.14.
27,344,511 shares traded hands via 128,281 transactions. The trading of 231 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 11.819 Arba.
While the float index lost 4.47 points and closed at 200.88, the Sensitive index is at 528.51 after losing 12.61 points.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 80.29 crores.
Kumari Bank Limited Promotor Share (KBLPO) is the highest gainer today with an 8.62% intraday gain. It is interesting to see debentures making it to the list of highest gainers, given that company stocks did not gain significantly today.
On the other side of things, Union Hydropower Company Limited (UNHPL) lost the most 9.81% and closed at Rs. 386 per share. The second-highest loser today is the rookie stock CEDB Hydropower Development Company Limited (CHDC) with an 8.03% loss.
All sectors have closed red today, with the Development Banks losing the most 3.5%.
