Nepse gains upward momentum today

Within the 40 minutes of opening, the benchmark index saw 6 points gain to reach 368level. But later the index couldn’t reach the same level; after gradual decrease it settled at 363.52 level to gain 2.02 or 0.56% only.

Today also with 18,507 units worth Rs. 16,662,641 via 204 transactions Everest Bank Limited (EBL) was the top performer in terms of highest traded share, transaction and turnover in today’s session. The broker with the highest stand alone dealing of EBL was Broker No 8 (Ashutosh Brokerage & Securities Pvt. Limited) with 61.54% dealing; amounting Rs. 10,254,310 via 135 transactions of 11,392 units which includes matching of 400 units worth Rs 360,000. Likewise, Citizen Investment Trust was the Top Gainer with Rs 65 or 9.41 % whereas Corporate Development Bank Ltd was the Top Loser with Rs 10 or 8.70%.

Apart from Other sector loss of 1.18 or 0.22% points, all remaining Sectoral indices improved than the prior trade session. Trading sector being the top with 2.7 or 1.43% followed by HydroPower, Banking, Finance, Insurance, Hotel and Development which all jumped by 1.34%, 0.96%, 0.43%, 0.12% and 0.04% respectively than earlier day’s trade. Sensitive index increased by 0.49 or 0.53% to settle at 92.95 while Float index also added 0.201or 0.7% point than previous day’s trade.

Total scrips traded for the day were 77 with 42 gainers and 19 losers with total turnover of Rs 40,111,759 which is comparatively Rs 907,845 higher than a day before. Overall 115,657 units of shares were traded via 1,197 transactions with total market capitalization of Rs. 343,336.6 millions.
