NEPSE Gains Minimal 2.74 Points and Closes at 2,674.35; Finance Sector Leads with 3.18% Gain

The NEPSE index gained a minimal 2.74 points today and closed at 2,674.35. The index opened at 2,690.12, which is also the intraday high. The index did not go further than that. While the index did go as low as 2,672.48, it ultimately closed at 2,674.35.

13,376,000 shares traded hands via 71,241 transactions. The trading of 207 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.55 Arba.

While the float index gained 0.34 points and closed at 184.17, the Sensitive index is at 476.51 after losing 0.28 points.

Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 36.07 crores. The units of the Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1) traded the most.

The top five highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today. Meanwhile, Universal Power Company Limited (UPCL) lost the most 4.42% today.

Six sectors have lost today while seven others closed green. "Others" lost the most 1.07% and "Finance" gained the most 3.18%.
