NEPSE Gains Minimal 2.56 Points to Close at 2,391.74; Indecision Seen in Today's Market Session

The NEPSE index gained a minimal 2.56 points today and closed at 2,391.74. The index opened at 2,400.04 and made an intraday high at 2,416.84. With an intraday low at 2,369.66, total volatility of 47.18 points was observed in the trading session today.

Chart readers will notice the formation of a Doji candlestick in today's trading session. Furthermore, the index is near the support level confirmed by the previous two bounce backs. Typically, technical analysts will infer from these conditions that the bearish pull downwards is weakening.

9,012,853 shares traded hands via 46,540 transactions. The trading of 216 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 3.37 Arba.

While the float index gained 0.27 points and closed at 164.84, the Sensitive index is at 430.49 after gaining 0.44 points.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 19.38 crores. The units of Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-2 (SIGS2) traded the most.

The five highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today, one of which is Greenlife Hydropower Limited (GLH) which had its first day of trading today.

Meanwhile, Rastriya Beema Company Limited Promoter Share (RBCLPO) lost the most 8.81%.

Seven sectors gained today and six others closed red. While the "Hotels and Tourism" sector gained the most 3.36%, the "Trading" sector lost the most 1.92%.
