NEPSE Gains Minimal 1.54 Points and Closes at 3,109.66; Seven Companies Hit Positive Circuit

The NEPSE index closed at 3,109.66 today after gaining a minimal 1.54 points.

The index opened at 3,113.15 and made the intraday high at 3,120.98. While it went as low as 3,098.9, it ultimately closed at 3,109.66. The float index is at 217.12 after losing 0.04 points while the Sensitive index is at 575.95 after losing 2.05 points.

A total of 25,393,699 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 14.137 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's figure of Rs. 14.308 Arba. 224 scrips traded hands via 128,959 transactions.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 67.06 crore closing at a market price of Rs. 629 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

A total of seven scrips have hit the positive circuit breaker by gaining 10%, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a stock. On the other side of things, 10.25% SBL Debenture 2083 (SBLD83) lost the most 3.96%.

Five sectors gained while eight others closed red. While Hydropower and Finance gained the most 3.35%, Trading lost the most 1.07%.
