NEPSE gains minimal 1.29 points and closes green at 1,562.46; Total turnover shrinks to Rs. 1.42 Arba

The NEPSE index gained 1.29 points from yesterday's close and ultimately closed at 1,562.46.

NEPSE opened at 1,564.69 today and made the intraday high of 1,579.55. The intraday low of 1,560.69 is a tiny bit below the market close itself.

4,994,367 shares exchanged hands via 23,089 transactions. The trading of 196 scrips brought the total market turnover to Rs. 1.42 Arba.

The float index gained 0.08 points and closed at 108.70 while the Sensitive index is 310.08 at after gaining 0.33 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 7.4 crores. Meanwhile, the shares of Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) traded the most.

General Insurance Company Nepal Limited (GIC) and Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) technically hit a 10% positive circuit today. Today was GIC's second day of trading. GIC witnessed an immense volume of buy orders and practically no sellers today, hence causing the price to surge and hit the positive circuit.

On the other side of things, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) lost the most 5.21%.

Five sectors gained and seven others lost. While the "Others" sector gained the most 0.65%, Manufacturing and Products lost the most 0.97%.
