NEPSE Gains Minimal 1.25 Points and Closes at 3,081.05; Six Companies Hit Positive Circuit Breaker

The NEPSE index closed at 3,081.05 today after gaining a minimal 1.25 points from last week's close. The index opened at 3,088.44 and immediately made the intraday high at 3,097.67. While it went as low as 3,075.9, it ultimately closed at 3,081.05.

A total of 30,342,352 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 12.103 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last week's figure of Rs. 10.905 Arba. 226 scrips traded hands via 117,490 transactions.

The float index is at 214.70 after gaining 0.03 points while the Sensitive index is at 572.15 after gaining 1.24 points.

National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 36.01 crore closing at a market price of Rs. 384 per share. The units of NIBL Pragati Fund (NIBLPF) traded the most.

A total of 6 companies have gained 10% and technically hit the positive circuit breaker. On the other side of things, Laxmi Equity Fund (LEMF) lost the most 6.98%.

7 sectors lost while six sectors gained today. Hydropower gained the most 2.49% in terms of sectorial gain. Meanwhile, Hotels and Tourism lost the most 2.32%.
