NEPSE Gains Massive 50.20 Points with Highest Turnover in History; Index at Highest Closing Ever; 14 Companies Hit Positive Circuit

The NEPSE index gained 50.20 points today and closed at 2,424.84. This is the highest closing-ever in the history of NEPSE. The index has been breaking records and creating new highs for a long, and there seems to be no stopping.

The index opened at 2,396.74 today, which is also the intraday low. Although the index went as high as 2,429.11, it ultimately closed at 2,424.84.

19,379,042 shares traded hands via 79,498 transactions. The trading of 207 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 9.37 Arba. This is the highest intraday turnover in the history of NEPSE. While the float index gained 2.93 points and closed at 165.38, the Sensitive index is at 452.06 after gaining 6.47 points.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 66.82 crores. The shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) traded the most.

A total of 14 companies have technically hit a 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC) lost the most 9.91%.

All other sectors besides the Trading sector gained today. Trading lost 2.47%. Meanwhile, the sector "Others" lost the most 5.69%.
