NEPSE gains an impressive 46.43 points first day of the week: NLIC closes with the day's most impressive turnover

The NEPSE index gained 46.43 points and closed at 2,010.45 today.
The index opened at 1,973.75. Total volatility of 43.01 points was observed, with the lowest point being 1,967.44 and the highest being the market-close itself.
9,050,016 shares traded hands via 43,584 transactions. Trading of 203 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 4.89 Arba. This is higher than last week's turnover of 4s. 4.14 Arba.
The float index gained 3.37 points and closed at 136.33 while the Sensitive index is at 382.11 after gaining 8.09 points.
Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 67.01 crores. The shares of Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) traded the most today.
The top three gainers in the highest gainers list below hit a 10% positive circuit today (technically).
Meanwhile, Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) lost the most 4.84%, followed by Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL) which lost 3.55%.
Three sectors lost and all others closed green. While Hydropower lost the most 1.63%, Manufacturing and Products gained the most 5.99%.
