NEPSE gains 9.37 points and rebounds a bit from three consecutive days' loss; Turnover of Rs. 1.72 Arba takes the index to 1,555.52

The NEPSE index gained 9.37 points (0.61%) today and ultimately closed at 1,555.52.

The day's close is the intraday high itself. On the other hand,1,535.03 is the lowest point for the day.

5,862,617 shares traded hands via 41,620 transactions to produce a total turnover of Rs. 1.72 Arba. 194 scrips were traded. NEPSE had a turnover of Rs. 1.72 Arba today. 

The float index gained 0.66 points and closed at 107.82 while the Sensitive index is at 308.34 after gaining 0.95 points.

Shikhar Insurance Company Limited's shares produced the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 10.85 crores. However, it had a much higher turnover of 31.95 crores yesterday. Meanwhile, Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC)'s shares traded the most.

A total of five companies hit a 10% positive circuit, technically. They are Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC), Mountain Hydro Nepal Limited (MHNL), United Modi Hydropower Limited (UMHL), Union Hydropower Company Limited (UNHPL), and Dibyashwari Hydropower Company Limited (DHPL).

Interestingly, all five of them are hydropower companies.

Meanwhile, Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) lost the most 3.57%. If we look at the top losers today, we can see that even the top losers did not lose a significant amount.

Only Hotels lost a minimal 1.36% today. Among all other sectors that gained, Hydropower gained the most 2.8%.
