NEPSE Gains 71.43 Points First Day of the Week; Twelve of Thirteen Sectors Close Green

The NEPSE index closed at 2,947.42 today after gaining 71.43 points from last week's closing. The index had lost 0.62 points on the last trading day of last week.

The index opened at 2,887.50 and did not trade at anywhere lower than that. It then closed at the intraday high of 2,947.42.

A total of 17,100,333 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 9.44 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 7.05 Arba. 231 scrips traded hands via 96,591 transactions.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 73.77 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 735.10 per share. The units of Nabil Balanced Fund - 2 (NBF2) traded the most.

A total of 11 scrips have hit the positive 10% circuit today. On the other side of things, Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1) lost the most 3.58%.

Only Mutual Funds lost a minimal 0.29% today. Of all other sectors that gained, Hydropower gained the most 6.37%.
