NEPSE Gains 69 Points With Extraordinary Market Participation, All Sector Indices Close Green

The NEPSE index closed at 2,926.74 today after gaining 69 points from last week's closing. This is a gain of 2.41% on the index. The index had gained 54.12 points last Thursday.

The index opened at 2,873.79 and did not trade any lower. While it went as high as 2,939.65, it ultimately closed at 2,926.74.

229 scrips traded hands via 101,589 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 18,254,525 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 9.676 Arba in the turnover amount. This is significantly higher than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 6.669 Arba.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 36.43 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 539.50 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) gained the highest 10% and closed at Rs. 550. Meanwhile, 10.25% GLOBAL IME BANK LTD. DEBENTURE 2080/81 (GBD80/81) lost the highest 3.59%, hence closing at Rs. 993.

All sector indices closed green. "Manufacturing And Processing" gained the highest 5.62%, largely because Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) gained 8.96%.
