NEPSE Gains 6.37 Points and Closes at 2,787.18; Finance Sector Gains Huge

The NEPSE index gained 6.37 points today and closed at 2,787.18. The index opened at 2,807.52, which is also the intraday high. The index only lost after there, going as low as 2,776.17. Nonetheless, the index has still closed higher than yesterday's closing.

20,133,602 shares traded hands via 1,06,399 transactions. The trading of 214 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 9.30 Arba. This is lower than the highest turnover of Rs. 11.958 Arba in the history of NEPSE created yesterday.

While the float index gained 0.73 points and closed at 191.47, the Sensitive index is at 498.97 after gaining 2.83 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 34.7 crores.

A total of six scrips have technically closed at the upper limit of 10% gain today.

On the other side of things, Panchthar Power Company Limited (PPCL) lost the most 6.56%.

Five sectors gained while all others closed red. Finance gained the most 6.12% while Hydropower lost the most 1.5%.
