NEPSE Gains 5.72 Points and Closes at 3,160.05; Five Scrips Hit Positive Circuit

The NEPSE index closed at 3,160.05 today after gaining 5.72 points from yesterday's closing.
The index opened at 3,165.09 and made the intraday high at 3,169.18. While it went as low as 3,138.10, it ultimately closed at 3,160.05.
A total of 28,617,805 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 15.930 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 21.647 Arba, the highest intraday turnover ever recorded in the history of NEPSE. The previous record was created on June 13 with Rs. 19.55 in turnover amount. 227 scrips traded hands via 159,093 transactions.
National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 74 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 438 per share. The units of Sunrise First Mutual Fund (SFMF) traded the most.
A total of five crips have technically gained 10% today, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a scrip. On the other side of things, ICFC Finance Limited (ICFC) lost the most 6.27%.
Seven sectors gained and six others closed red. While Manufacturing and Production gained the most 2.28%, Finance lost the most 0.97%.
