NEPSE Gains 55.5 Points and Closes at 2,837.61; Nine Scrips Technically Gain 10%

The NEPSE index closed at 2,837.61 today after gaining 55.5 points from last Thursday's closing. The index had gained 13.04 points that day.
The index opened at 2,785.94 and created the intraday low at 2,776.05. It then closed at the intraday high of 2,837.61.
A total of 13,899,322 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 7.823 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 5.395 Arba. In fact, this is the highest turnover witnessed in the last 22 trading days. 232 scrips traded hands via 81,935 transactions.
Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 32.57 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 372 per share. Its shares also traded the most.
A total of 9 scrips have technically gained 10%, thereby hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Everest Bank Limited (EBL) lost the most 6.5%.
Only Banking lost a minimal 0.16% today. Among all other sectors that gained, Development Bank gained the most 6.54%.
