NEPSE Gains 54.12 Points and Closes at 2,857.75, Twelve of Thirteen Sector Indices Close Green

The NEPSE index closed at 2,857.75 today after gaining 54.12 points from yesterday's closing. This is a gain of 1.93% on the index. The index had lost 30.51 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,808.80 and created the intraday low at 2,802.8. It then closed at the intraday high of 2,857.75.

224 scrips traded hands via 77,668 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 11,834,216 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 6.669 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 8.033 Arba.

Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) had the highest turnover of Rs. 34.31 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 750 per share. The shares of Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited (HIDCL) traded the most.

Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidyut Company Limited (MBJC) gained the highest 9.98% and closed at Rs. 379.20. Meanwhile, 8% Nabil Debenture 2085 (NBLD85) lost the highest 2.03%, hence closing at Rs. 901.30.

Only the "Others" sector index lost a minimal 0.16%. Among all other sector indices that closed green, "HydroPower" gained the highest 4.9%.
