NEPSE Gains 54 Points With a Surge in Intraday Turnover; Index Closes at Intraday High of 2,665.11

The NEPSE index gained 54 points and closed at 2,665.11. The index opened at 2,627.81 and immediately made the intraday low at 2,611.03. However, this was the most that the bears could pull the index today. NEPSE eventually gained and ultimately closed at the intraday-high of 2,665.10.
15,832,403 shares traded hands via 83,404 transactions. The trading of 226 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 7.36 Arba. This is significantly higher than last Thursday's turnover of Rs. 4.35 Arba.

Nepal Credit & Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 42.02 crores. Its shares also traded the most.

The three highest gainers have closed at the upper limit of 10% gain today.

On the other side of things, Everest Bank Limited Convertible Preference (EBLCP) has lost the most 1.99%. It is apparent that even the highest losers have not lost a significant amount today.

All sectors gained today, with the "Others" sector gaining the most 4.63%.
