NEPSE gains 5.36 points and closes at 1,541.40; Turnover shrinks to 1.84 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 1,541.40 today, gaining 5.36 points (0.35%).

Overall 13.31 points volatility was witnessed in the trading hours, with the highest point being 1,543.98 and the lowest being 1,530.67.

6,390,083 shares traded hands to produce a turnover of Rs. 1.84 Arba. 194 scrips were traded via 30,590 transactions.

The float index gained 0.3 points and closed at 106.45 while the Sensitive index is at 305.48 after gaining 0.83 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited had the highest turnover of Rs. 9.61 crores. This is significantly lower than its yesterday's turnover of Rs. 13.13 crores. The shares of Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1) traded the most.

More than 10 companies hit a 10% positive circuit today (technically). Most of the gainers are hydropower companies. It seems that investors are attracted to the hydropower sector for a few days now.

Meanwhile, NIC ASIA Balanced Fund (NICBF) lost the most 3.87%.

Only Banking lost 0.37% today while all others gained. Hotels gained the most 9.04%.
