NEPSE Gains 41.84 Points After Three Red Days; Shareholders Dissatisfied With Dividend Proposal of NIC Asia Laghubitta (NICLBSL)

The NEPSE index closed at 2,612.65 today after gaining 41.84 points from yesterday's closing. The index had lost 6.68 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,569.78 and did not trade at anywhere lower than that. While it went as high as 2,619.85, it ultimately closed at 2,612.65.

A total of 5,842,135 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.996 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 3.627 Arba. 223 scrips traded hands via 41,051 transactions.

Shikhar Insurance Company Limited Promoter Share (SICLPO) had the highest turnover of Rs. 13.66 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 911 per share. The promoter shares of Prime Commercial Bank Limited traded the most.

A total of five scrips have technically hit the 10% positive circuit breaker today while NIC Asia Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NICLBSL) lost the most 10%, hitting the negative circuit breaker. NICLBSL had proposed a 5.41% cash dividend today. 

Only the Trading sector lost a minimal 1.84% today. Finance gained the most 4.16%.
