Nepse gains 4.68 points, Turnover rises to Rs 336.26 million

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (Nepse) gained 4.68 points or 0.50 percent to close at 935.01 level today.

Owing to the good buying pressure in most of the listed companies, the local bourse floated on green zone throughout the day. In addition, the market participation was also higher than that of yesterday.

The market turnover today stood at Rs 336.26 million compared to Rs 139 million of yesterday.  Similarly, number of transactions and share traded figures also increased to 2,165 times and 666,416 units share compared to 1,377 times and 271,798 units share of yesterday.

As for the movement of sub-indices, Banking sector sustained gain of 1.94 points and Others sub-group inclined by 2.35 points. But the day belonged to Insurance sector as it surged by 101.32 points.

Similarly, Finance and Manufacturing added 3.01 points and 5.19 points respectively.

Among remaining sub-groups, Hotels, Development and Hydro suffered losses of 6.48 points, 0.65 point and 2.36 points respectively.
