NEPSE Gains 37.7 Points and Closes at 2,408.24; Total Turnover at Rs. 6.97 Arba

The NEPSE index gained 37.7 points today and closed at 2,408.24. This is a 1.59% gain from yesterday's closing.
The index opened at 2,372.04 today which is also the intraday low. Although the index went as high as 2,413.18, it ultimately closed at 2,408.24.
13,311,942 shares traded hands via 65,778 transactions. The trading of 203 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.97 Arba. While the float index gained 2.2 points and closed at 163.73, the Sensitive index is at 437.28 after losing 4.95 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 58.33 crores. The shares of Century Commercial Bank Limited (CCBL) traded the most.

A total of 8 companies hit the 10% positive circuit as of market close today.

Meanwhile, Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KMCDB) lost the most 7.24%.

Microfinance and Mutual Funds lost, with Microfinance losing the most between them. Among all other sectors that gained, Hotels gained a massive 8.76%.
