NEPSE Gains 32.15 Points With a Revival in Daily Turnover; Hydropower Companies Lead the Gain

The NEPSE index gained 32.15 points today and closed at 2,575.66. The index opened at 2,545.54 and did not fare at anything lower than that. The index gained in the overall market movement today, going as high as 2,575.95. The index ultimately closed at 2,575.66.

12,209,976 shares traded hands via 68,645 transactions. The trading of 209 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.185 Arba. This is significantly higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 4.41 Arba.

While the float index gained 2.36 points and closed at 177.23, the Sensitive index is at 456.10 after gaining 6.19 points.

Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 48 crores. Its shares also traded the most.

The four highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today, three of which are non-life insurance companies.

Meanwhile, United Idi-Mardi and R.B. Hydropower Limited (UMRH) lost the most 5.33%.

Only two sectors lost today while eleven others closed green. While Hydropower gained the most 4.14%, Trading lost the most 0.68%
