NEPSE gains 29.68 points and closes above the 1,800 roof for the first time in four years; 5 companies hit positive circuit

The NEPSE index gained a massive 29.68 points today, closing at 1,810.11. This is the highest point the index has touched in four long years. The last time when the index closed above 1,800 was on October 16, 2016, when NEPSE closed at 1,803.74.
The index opened at 1,790.19 today. Total volatility of 27.15 points was witnessed during the trading session today, with the highest point being 1,813.86 and the lowest being 1,786.71.
11,748,520 shares exchanged hands via 49,783 transactions. Trading of 196 scrips brought the total turnover to a little over Rs. 5.44 Arba.
The float index gained 1.49 points and closed at 123.31 while the Sensitive index is at 349.37 after gaining 4.42 points.
NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 37.33 crores. Its shares also traded the most today.
Five companies hit the 10% positive circuit today. They are Bottlers Nepal (Terai) Limited (BNT), Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL), Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC), Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL), and Multipurpose Finance Company Limited (MPFL)
Meanwhile, Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) lost the most 3.2%.
Only Hotels lost 1.65% today. Among other sectors that gained, Trading gained the most 8.23%.
