NEPSE Gains 28.73 Points to Close at 2,639.37; Five Scrips Hit Upper Circuit While All Sector Close At Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining by 28.73 points (1.10%) to settle at 2,639.37. This follows a 10.29 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2610.65, touching an intraday high of 2,639.56, while the lowest point was 2,609.51. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 6.47 Arba, with 12,459,951 shares traded across 323 companies through 84,990 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.31 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.04 Kharba.


SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 38.69 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 628.80.


Five scrips hit the upper circuit, gaining a maximum of 10% each.


Meanwhile, 10.30% Standard Chartered Bank Limited Debenture (SCBD) recorded the steepest drop, falling 2.49%.


Among sectors, the Manufacturing And Processing registered the highest gain, gaining 3.05%, while the Trading Index saw the least gain at 0.22%.
