NEPSE Gains 23.76 Points and Closes at 2,843.62; IPO Rookie Sahas Urja Limited (SAHAS) Gains 10%

The NEPSE index closed at 2,843.62 today after gaining 23.76 points from yesterday's closing. The index had lost 17.75 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,824.82 and created the intraday low at 2,789.59. While it went as high as 2,845.06, it ultimately closed at 2,843.62.

A total of 9,977,483 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 6.073 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 7.77 Arba. 230 scrips traded hands via 59,881 transactions.

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) had the highest turnover of Rs. 46.97 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 730 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

Sahas Urja Limited (SAHAS) gained 9.99% (technically 10%), thereby hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Bishal Bazar Company Limited (BBC) lost the most 2.95%.

Three sectors lost while all others closed green today. "Others" gained the most 3.77%. "Trading" lost the most 2.1%.
