NEPSE Gains 18.07 Points With Higher Turnover, Development Banks and Hydropower Companies Gain the Highest

The NEPSE index closed at 2,634.65 today after gaining 18.07 points from last trading day's closing. The index had lost 14.67 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,620.13 today and made the intraday low at 2,601.36. However, market sentiment quickly changed, and the index closed at the intraday high at 2,634.65.

231 scrips traded hands via 37,939 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 5,189,083 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.592 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 2.274 Arba.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 20.94 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,504 per share. NTC is also the highest loser with a 2.97% loss today. Meanwhile, the shares of Api Power Company Ltd. (API) were traded the most.

On the other side of things, Emerging Nepal Limited (ENL) has gained the highest 9.98% and closed at Rs. 571.70.

Among the thirteen sector indices, only two have lost today. While "Others" lost the highest 1.9%, "Development Bank" gained the highest 2.95%.
