NEPSE Gains 17.2 Points and Creates New High; Microfinance Sector Gains the Most 3.64%

The NEPSE index gained 17.2 points today and closed at 2,691.55. This is the highest index closing in the history of NEPSE. Today was the second-last trading day for the year 2077. The index opened at 2,678.44 and shortly made the intraday low at 2,672.14.

13,821,573 shares traded hands via 80,959 transactions. The trading of 216 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 7.61 Arba.

While the float index gained 1.56 points and closed at 185.73, the Sensitive index is at 480.29 after gaining 3.78 points.

NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 25.03 crores. The shares of Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) traded the most.

The top five highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today. Meanwhile, USanjen Jalavidhyut Company Limited (SJCL) lost the most 4.41% today.

Six sectors have lost today while seven others closed green. "Hotels and Tourism" lost the most 1.82% and "Microfinance" gained the most 3.64%.
