NEPSE Gains 16.95 Points and Closes at 2,801.52; Intraday Turnover at Rs. 7.379 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 2,801.52 today after gaining 16.95 points from yesterday's closing. The index had gained 69.22 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,812.16 and made the intraday high at 2,825.59. While it went as low as 2,800.31, it ultimately closed at 2,801.52.

A total of 11,943,858 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 7.379 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 5.521 Arba. 224 scrips traded hands via 77,518 transactions.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 58.68 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 1,390 per share. The shares of National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) traded the most.

A total of five scrips have technically gained 10%, thereby hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Bottlers Nepal (Terai) Limited (BNT) lost the most 7.47%.

Six sectors lost while seven others closed green. Manu.& Pro. lost the most 1.52%, and the sector "Others" gained the most 5.29%.'
