NEPSE gains 16.56 points and closes at 1,537.25; Turnover rises to Rs. 3.38 Arba; Non Life Insurance still on gaining mode

The NEPSE index closed at 1,537.25, gaining 16.56 points in a confusing trading day today. Because of some technical issues in the TMS, NEPSE was halted in the initial hours. To make up for this loss of time, the market was open at 2:15 pm and closed only at 5:15 pm.

The lowest point was 1,522.07 in the NEPSE index today. On the other hand, the market-close itself is the intraday high.

7,205,643 shares traded hands to produce a turnover of Rs. 3.38 Arba. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover. 191 scrips were traded via 39.814 transactions.

The float index gained 1.13 points and closed at 105.96 while the Sensitive index is at 303.97 after gaining 2.59 points.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited had the highest turnover Rs. 24.31 crores, and closed at Rs. 898 per share. The shares of Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL) traded the most today.

Five companies hit a positive circuit today (technically). Reliance Life Insurance Limited (RLI), NRN Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NLBSL), NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN), Radhi Bidyut Company Limited (RADHI), and Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC).

Meanwhile, Nabil Balanced Fund - 2 (NBF2) lost the most 9.27%. In the previous trading day on Thursday, Nabil Equity Fund (NEF) had lost the most 5.64%.

Three sectors lost today while 9 others ended green. Trading lost the most 2.83% and Non-Life Insurance gained the most 4.05%.
