NEPSE Gains 13.97 Points and Closes at 2,994.58; Synergy Power Development Limited (SPDL) Hits 10% Positive Circuit Breaker

The NEPSE index closed at 2,994.58 today after gaining 13.97 points from the last trading day's close. The NEPSE index seems to have bounced back in great health from the support zone at the 2,800 level, but whether the index will surpass the most recent high remains a puzzle to be solved for this fiscal year.

The index opened at 3,003.47 and immediately made the intraday high at 3,031.87. While it went as low as 2,981.91, it ultimately closed at 2,994.58.

A total of 37,571,354 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 11.813 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than the previous trading sessions' turnover of Rs. 11.638 Arba. 219 scrips traded hands via 107,797 transactions.

The float index is at 208.82 after gaining 0.83 points while the Sensitive index is at 560.94 after losing 0.02 points.

NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) had the highest turnover of Rs. 35.41 crore closing at a market price of Rs. 1,044 per share. The units of NIC Asia Growth Fund (NICGF) traded the most.

Synergy Power Development Limited (SPDL) is the only company to have closed at the upper limit of 10% intraday gain today. On the other side of things, 10.5% Nepal Investment Bank Debenture 2082 (NIBD2082) lost the most 5.87%.

Eight sectors gained and five others closed red today. While Trading gained the most 5.22%, Finance lost the most 1.17%.
