NEPSE Gains 13.07 points and closes at 2,178.57; Top 5 Highest Gainers Hit 10% Positive Circuit

The NEPSE index gained 13.07 points today and closed at 2,178.57.

The NEPSE index opened at 2,170.82 and made an intraday low at 2,170.31. Making the intraday high at 2,185.20, the index finally closed at 2,178.57.

10,535,216 shares traded hands via 40,367 transactions. The trading of 205 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 4.42 Arba. The turnover is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 4.56 Arba. While the float index gained 0.98 points and closed at 148.05, the Sensitive index is at 418.14 after gaining 4.45 points.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 21.33 crores. The shares of Jyoti Bikas Bank Limited Promoter Share (JBBLPO) traded the most.

The top 5 highest gainers technically hit a 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited (JOSHI) lost the most 6.16%. Even though NIBPO is at the top of the highest losers list, the loss is just a technical error caused by data misrepresentation.

Trading and Hydropower lost today and all other sectors gained. While Microfinance gained the most 1.68%, Trading lost the most 0.89%.
