NEPSE Gains 13.04 Points and Closes at 2,782.16 With a Downtick in Intraday Turnover

The NEPSE index closed at 2,782.16 today after gaining a modest 13.04 points from yesterday's closing. The index had gained 18.06 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,768.88 and created the intraday low at 2,747.59. While it went as high as 2,782.63, it ultimately closed at 2,782.16.

A total of 9,236,613 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 5.395 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 6.612 Arba. 222 scrips traded hands via 59,140 transactions.

National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 29.19 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 434 per share. Its shares also traded the most. 

Ridi Hydropower Development Company Limited (RHPC) gained the most 10%, hitting the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Everest Insurance Company Limited Promoter Share (EICPO) lost the most 7.79%.

Six sectors lost and seven others closed green. The "Others" sector gained the most 2.53%. Hotels And Tourism lost the most 1.15%.
